What separates the Bluetti AC series line
The AC series is Bluetti’s mainstream line and where its expansion argument mostly lives.
What the manufacturer claims
Quoted from the manufacturer’s own material. We have not tested these claims.
Bluetti markets AC-series units as expandable through B-series packs and as supporting TurboBoost charging to 80% in roughly 45 minutes.

What the AC series units we track show
Computed from the sourced specifications of the models in our catalogue — a deliberately selected slice of what this brand sells, never the full lineup.
The five AC units in this published family comparison run 448 Wh to 2,048 Wh, and four of the five carry a sourced expansion capability — the AC50B is the exception, and it is also the only one in the family with no sourced surge figure at all, which is a real gap on a unit small enough that surge is what decides its limits. The AC70 is the one worth a second look: at 768 Wh and 10.2 kg it scores 71.1, the highest of these five and, by a tenth of a point, the highest of any Bluetti unit we track — the 2,764.8 Wh Apex 300 sits just behind it at 71.0. Treat that gap as a tie rather than a verdict; what it really says is that the AC70 buys its place with output and charging rather than capacity, and that the Apex 300 is scored as the bare unit, without the optional Hub D1 that carries its 12 V and Anderson ports.

This page owns family and generation-chart intent. It goes deeper than the brand hub but sends exact two-model decisions to head-to-head pages and deal queries to price history.

Frequently asked
- Does a higher AC-series number mean a better unit?
- It mostly signals capacity, not quality. In our tracked data the smallest AC unit scores highest, because the composite weighs output, charging, and longevity alongside stored energy. Pick the capacity your load needs, then compare within that band.
- How much does an expansion battery add?
- That depends on the pack and is a specification of the pack, not the head unit — we track whether a model expands, not its ceiling or the pack price. Confirm both with the manufacturer before buying a smaller unit on the assumption you will grow it.
- How do I size a station for my own load?
- Size against the devices and duration you actually need, then leave margin for conversion losses and startup surge. Calculate your size →
- Can I compare two exact models?
- Yes — exact model-vs-model pages own head-to-head decisions and keep those queries separate from this family overview. Open model comparison →
