DJI alternatives by size
Compare rival power stations in equivalent capacity classes. This page owns “alternatives to DJI” intent; it does not duplicate the DJI lineup or exact model-vs-model decisions.

What DJI optimizes for
DJI is not really selling a general-purpose power station — it is selling turnaround time for its own drone batteries, with a power station wrapped around it.
What the manufacturer claims
Quoted from the manufacturer’s own material. We have not tested these claims.
DJI equips the Power series with proprietary SDC ports that fast-charge DJI drone batteries, stating a Mavic 3 series pack goes from 10% to 95% in about 32 minutes, with support listed for Matrice 4, Mavic 3, Air 3, Matrice 30, and Inspire 3 series.
dji.com — Power 2000 →DJI states the Power 2000 reaches 80% in 55 minutes and expands to 22,528 Wh across up to 10 additional batteries.

What the DJI units we track show
Computed from the sourced specifications of the models in our catalogue — a deliberately selected slice of what this brand sells, never the full lineup.
Both DJI units we track clear 70 — 71.5 and 74.9 — which only seven other units in our catalogue manage, and the sourced specs show why the score lands there rather than any drone affinity: both accept 1,800 W of solar input, which on the 1,024 Wh Power 1000 V2 is by a wide margin the highest solar-input-to-capacity ratio we track, and both are rated 4,000 cycles with a 5-year warranty. The SDC ports are worth nothing to a buyer without the matching drones, and our scoring gives them no credit — it cannot, because a proprietary port serves one ecosystem.
Limits of this evidence: We track two DJI units, the smallest sample of any brand on this page, so brand-level generalisation is especially unsafe here. The drone-charging times are DJI’s figures for DJI batteries; we have tested neither, and we track no drone batteries at all.
Lineup at a glance
Alternatives are grouped by the same published capacity cohorts used by the scoring system. The matrix never calls a rival cheaper, lighter, or more powerful unless both relevant readings are present.

Frequently asked
- Is a DJI power station worth it if I do not own a DJI drone?
- The SDC fast-charging ports are the brand’s whole differentiator and they are useless without the matching batteries — so judge it purely as a power station. On that basis the two units we track do stand on their own sourced numbers, particularly solar input and rated cycle life. But you would be paying for a feature you cannot use, so compare price against equivalent-capacity rivals below before deciding.
- Does the high solar input mean faster real-world recharging?
- Only if you own panels that can actually deliver it. A 1,800 W rated input is a ceiling, not a throughput — reaching it needs roughly that much panel in good sun, which is a significant array and a significant cost. The rating matters because it means the unit will not be the bottleneck; the panels usually are.
- Where can I compare two exact models?
- A head-to-head page owns that decision and keeps the query separate from this one. Compare exact models →
- How is the BatteryRank score calculated?
- The composite is price-independent and computed from published inputs with explicit missing-data rules. See the formula →
