The sourced specs point at surge headroom as the real characteristic: both 1,024 Wh Mega 1 variants pair a 2,000 W inverter with a 4,500 W surge rating — a 2.25× ratio, and higher in absolute terms than the larger 2,048 Wh Mega 2 Pro, which surges to 3,800 W from a 2,500 W inverter. For motor-start loads such as a pump or compressor, the smaller units in our sample are the more capable ones, which is the opposite of the usual pattern.
