We would compare these around the trip after the first purchase. The Elite 100 V2 is a compact, fixed-capacity station; the Mega 1 provides an expansion route. Both can start with a small essential-device plan, but only one of those architectures lets the same base unit carry a larger storage allocation later. Buying for an imagined future can also mean carrying equipment you never need.
