Before you choose
The details that change the decision
Check 01
The extra output is for one device
A1638 offers 45 W from one USB-C connection; A1259 offers 30 W. Check your phone, tablet or laptop’s required profile. Neither headline guarantees that power to an attached device.
Check 02
Refilling is tied; sharing changes the result
Both accept 30 W input. Attach multiple devices and A1638’s total falls to 22.5 W, while A1259 documents 24 W combined. The newer model’s larger single-output number does not carry over to those situations.
Check 03
Retractable cable or lighter fixed-cable pack?
A1638’s 231.3 g OEM weight is converted from its listed 0.51 lb; A1259 lists 215 g. Both carry a 10,000 mAh label. Only A1638 has an explicit 36 Wh rating in our sources, so we do not claim equal delivered energy or recharge counts.
