Nitecore CARBO 10000 Gen2 10,000mAh Power Bank vs NITECORE NB10000 Gen4

CARBO Gen2 raises single USB-C input and output; NB10000 Gen4 reduces listed weight. Their explicit battery energy is close, and their shared ceiling is identical.

BatteryRank comparison

Which tradeoff fits your kit?

CARBO Gen2 offers 30 W single USB-C input and output at a nominal 170 g. NB10000 Gen4 offers 22.5 W at a nominal 143 g, excluding its lanyard cable. The 27 g difference buys a higher single-connection ceiling, not more rated energy: CARBO lists 38.8 Wh versus NB10000’s 39 Wh. Both fall to 15 W total when outputs are combined.

Before you choose

The details that change the decision

Check 01

Do your devices use the extra single-port power?

CARBO’s 30 W rating can matter only when the device accepts its profile. NB10000’s 22.5 W ceiling may cover a different charging kit. Both have two USB-C outputs; confirm the exact revision rather than using a previous generation’s specifications.

Check 02

The lighter pack has slightly more rated Wh

CARBO lists 38.8 Wh and 170 g; NB10000 lists 39 Wh and 143 g. These are rated battery energy and OEM weights, not measured USB energy. NB10000 excludes the lanyard charging cable from its nominal weight; both weights carry a manufacturer tolerance.

Check 03

Two devices erase the peak-output advantage

Both document 15 W combined output. CARBO’s 30 W single rating is not available alongside a second output. Its higher 30 W input can still matter at an outlet stop, compared with NB10000’s 22.5 W input, if the charger and cable support it.
