Anker SOLIX PS100 Bifacial Portable Solar Panel review

Exact revision: AS310; PS100 Bifacial Portable Solar Panel (Quick Start Guide V1)

The PS100 folds into a 2.8kg pack with a 100W front-side rating. The useful details are its 25.9V open-circuit voltage and included XT60i cable; check both against your station before buying. Anker’s folded-depth references also disagree, which matters if you have a tight storage space.

BatteryRank review

Our verdict

A compact choice for a station whose solar input accepts the panel’s 25.9V open-circuit voltage and current. Its 100W STC rating is straightforward to size around; the extra rear-side contribution depends on reflected light and should not be treated as guaranteed output.

Review notes

Where it fits

For a small, movable solar setup

At 2.8kg, the PS100 is a manageable option to move around a campsite or roadside stop as the sun shifts. Its bifacial design is most relevant when the rear face has access to reflected light instead of being pressed against a dark or obstructing surface.

What changes the decision

Tradeoffs

Folded-depth references conflict

The current US product page lists 20.1 × 23.6 × 2.5 in folded, consistent with the Anker technical sheet’s 510 × 600 × 64 mm. The AS310 Quick Start Guide V1 instead prints 1.3 in / 34 mm for the folded depth. We use the larger current-page measurement for storage planning and recommend checking the shipped guide if clearance is tight.

Verify the receiving station’s limits

Before purchase, compare 25.9V Voc, 4.86A Isc, the station’s solar-input current and power limits, connector polarity, and the station’s permitted cable path. The MC4-to-XT60i lead does not establish compatibility with every power station.

Before connecting

Setup and compatibility

Use the supplied PV cable set

The package guide shows two 2.5m PV extension cables and a 0.5m PV-connector-to-XT60i charging cable. Connect only after confirming the station’s input voltage, current, connector, and polarity requirements.

Read the exact power-station manual before pairing equipment. Our solar panel pairing guide explains the input checks, and the solar recharge deficit tool estimates whether a setup can keep pace with daily use.

Exact model questions

Frequently asked questions

Which cables come with this AS310 revision?

Anker’s AS310 Quick Start Guide V1 lists two 2.5m PV extension cables and one 0.5m PV-connector-to-XT60i charging cable. The panel connector is specified as MC4 in Anker’s technical sheet.

Will the PS100 work with any solar generator?

Check the exact station manual against the panel’s 25.9V STC open-circuit voltage, current and power ratings. Confirm the station’s permitted operating conditions, connector and polarity too; the supplied XT60i lead alone does not establish a match.

Which folded depth should I use for storage planning?

The current US page and technical sheet give about 2.5 in / 64 mm, while AS310 Quick Start Guide V1 gives 1.3 in / 34 mm. We use the larger current-page value; verify the shipped guide if the storage opening is close.
