Anker SOLIX PS400 Bifacial Portable Solar Panel review

Exact revision: AS340; PS400 Bifacial Portable Solar Panel (Quick Start Guide V1)

The PS400 packs a 400W nameplate rating into a folding panel that weighs 9.95kg and opens to about 90 inches long. Before making room for it, check the station’s voltage limit: the panel’s 57.6V open-circuit rating rules out inputs with a lower ceiling.

BatteryRank review

Our verdict

A high-output option for a station with solar input that can accept the panel’s 57.6V Voc and corresponding current. Its 400W STC rating and wide unfolded footprint suit buyers who can give it a clear setup area; check the receiving device’s full input limits before purchase.

Review notes

Where it fits

For higher-input portable stations

The PS400 suits a station with a larger solar input and a setup with enough open ground for its roughly 90-inch unfolded length. The rear face can add output where reflected light reaches it, but a clear front-facing area remains the reliable starting point.

What changes the decision

Tradeoffs

The station must accept its voltage

The technical sheet lists 57.6V Voc and 8.75A Isc. Compare those ratings with the station’s permitted solar-input voltage, current and power, then check cable polarity. The separate 75V maximum system voltage is a panel limit, not its output voltage; a fitting XT60i plug alone does not establish compatibility.

Before connecting

Setup and compatibility

Connect with the included cable path

The AS340 guide lists two 2.5m PV extension cables and a 0.5m PV-connector-to-XT60i charging cable. Confirm the receiving station’s Voc, current, power, polarity, and cable requirements before making the connection.

Read the exact power-station manual before pairing equipment. Our solar panel pairing guide explains the input checks, and the solar recharge deficit tool estimates whether a setup can keep pace with daily use.

Exact model questions

Frequently asked questions

Will any power station accept the PS400?

Check the station’s permitted solar-input voltage, current, power and operating conditions against the PS400’s STC ratings. Its 57.6V open-circuit voltage is too high for an input capped below that figure. The panel’s separate 75V system-voltage limit is not an output rating. Verify connector polarity and the required cable as well.
