Our buying analysis
Do you want more energy in the base unit, or a smaller start with room to expand?
The Explorer 1500 v2 and DELTA 3 make sense as cross-shops when the battery will move between home and a vehicle. Jackery provides more rated storage in its base unit; EcoFlow starts smaller and offers an expansion route. We would choose between those shapes using the longest planned interval without charging, then consider what must be lifted and where the station will sit.
The trade-off we would make
Jackery’s larger fixed pack suits a buyer who knows the needed storage and wants it in one enclosure. The DELTA 3 is a different proposition: a lighter base station with compatible extra storage available later. Extra equipment can reduce that carrying advantage, so we would compare the completed setup when expansion is actually needed. The stations also have different continuous-output limits; a larger battery by itself does not decide which combination of appliances can operate.
Before you choose
Read DELTA 3 as the exact base model on this page. DELTA 3 Plus and DELTA 3 Classic are separate products, and a family-wide feature claim may not describe this one. Keep Explorer 1500 v2 distinct from the original Explorer 1500 and the Pro. For a panel setup, check voltage, current and connectors as well as watts; advertised solar input is not a promise of a full refill on every camping day.

Where these rank
- EcoFlow DELTA 3 #4 of 10 in Best 1,000 Wh Stations · #5 of 10 in Best Home-Office Backup Power Stations

Quick answers
- Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 better than the Jackery Explorer 1500 v2?
- EcoFlow DELTA 3 leads by 13 points overall.
- Which has more usable capacity, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 or Jackery Explorer 1500 v2?
- The Jackery Explorer 1500 v2, by 436 Wh — 870 Wh versus 1,306 Wh, a 50% advantage. At a 60 W load that is roughly 7.3 extra hours before the battery is empty. Both figures are estimated AC-delivered energy, not the nameplate battery rating — the watt-hours that actually reach your devices, which is always less than the number on the box.
- Which has more AC output, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 or Jackery Explorer 1500 v2?
- The Jackery Explorer 1500 v2: 1,800 W versus 2,000 W continuous. That gap matters only if a load sits between the two numbers — below 1,800 W both run it, above 2,000 W neither does. Surge headroom follows the same order: 3,600 W against 4,000 W, and surge is what decides whether a compressor or pump actually starts.
- How does runtime compare between the EcoFlow DELTA 3 and Jackery Explorer 1500 v2?
- On the same sourced load — a refrigerator (full-size) — the Jackery Explorer 1500 v2 runs longer: 20.7 hours against 13.8. These are planning estimates from each model's AC-delivered capacity, not stopwatch tests; real duty cycle and temperature move them.
- Which is lighter, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 or Jackery Explorer 1500 v2?
- The EcoFlow DELTA 3, by 2 kg (12.5 kg versus 14.5 kg). Both weights are manufacturer figures for the bare unit; cables and a solar panel add to whatever you actually carry.
- Which recharges faster from the wall, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 or Jackery Explorer 1500 v2?
- The EcoFlow DELTA 3: 56 minutes from empty to full against 64 minutes, a difference of 8 minutes. This matters most between outages and during a short grid window — if you only ever recharge overnight, it does not matter at all.
- Which model should I buy for my use case?
- On the sub-scores that describe each use case: the EcoFlow DELTA 3 for home backup; the Jackery Explorer 1500 v2 for cpap & bedroom, camping & rv. They split, so the honest answer depends on which of those you are actually buying for.
