Best Power Stations for Starlink (2026)

Starlink's published draw is modest and completely relentless: the dish never idles down the way a laptop does, so the load is measured in days rather than watts. These 2026 stations carry that continuous draw and still move to the clearing where the dish has sky.

What the Starlink ranking leaves out

Why this cohort, not the overall top ten

Satellite internet is a small load with no off switch. The dish holds its published average around the clock rather than idling between bursts the way a laptop does, so the constraint is not peak watts but the total across days. That is why this cohort is capped rather than maximised: the answer has to travel to wherever the dish found sky, which rules out systems that never leave a garage.

Where buyers get this ranking wrong

Sizing on the lower end of the published range. The specification quotes a band, and the top of it is what you get in the conditions that make satellite internet worth having — cold weather runs the heater, a partly obstructed view means more time searching and reacquiring. Planning on the optimistic end of a band is how a three-day trip runs out of connectivity on the second afternoon.

What this ranking cannot see

Our figure is the published average for one kit variant on the manufacturer specification sheet, and neither the high-performance hardware nor the in-motion variants draw the same. The router is included in that figure but a laptop, a phone charger and lights are not, and in practice nobody powers a dish in isolation.

What a dish has to clear

  • Eligibility uses Starlink’s own specification sheet: the Standard kit’s 75 W average, held for 24 hours with no duty-cycle relief, checked by the shared sizing engine.
  • Rated capacity is capped at 4,000 Wh so every result is something one or two people can actually move to the dish location.
  • Cold and obstruction both raise consumption above the average: the dish runs a heater to shed snow, and a partly blocked view means more time searching and reacquiring.

What this rule turns away

14 of 80 tracked stations meet this list's eligibility rule, and the 10 highest-scoring of them are ranked above. The highest-scoring stations the rule excludes are EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra X, EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 and DJI Power 2000. They rank well elsewhere on the site; they do not answer this question.

Frequently asked

How long will a power station run Starlink?
Divide the station’s battery-side usable watt-hours by roughly 75 W and subtract conversion loss. The specification sheet quotes 75–100 W average for the Standard kit, so a cold or obstructed install lands nearer the top of that band.
Will a power station run the dish and a laptop at the same time?
Electrically, easily — together they are a small fraction of any inverter here. The question is duration, and adding a working laptop to a dish roughly doubles the daily energy, which halves the days a given battery covers.
Does the dish draw more power in winter?
Yes. Snow-melt heating is an intermittent load on top of the normal draw, so a cold installation lands nearer the top of the published range and sometimes above it.
Can solar keep a dish running indefinitely?
It can, but the panel has to be sized against a full day of consumption rather than against the station. A dish that never sleeps consumes through the night on stored energy, so the array has to refill a whole night plus the day it is working through, which is a much larger panel than most people bring.
Should I run the dish from DC instead of the AC outlets?
Only with hardware the manufacturer supports. Bypassing the inverter avoids a conversion loss that matters over days, but the voltage and connector are not something to improvise, and an unsupported adapter is a good way to damage an expensive terminal.
