At a glance

Pecron F5000LFP is a whole-home / mega model best suited to cpap traveler. It supplies 7,200 W of continuous AC output. BatteryRank scores it 69 out of 100 within its size class.

Our verdict on the Pecron F5000LFP

Pecron's largest unit and its most solar-committed: 5,120 Wh paired with a 5,800 W input ceiling, which is enough array capacity to refill the entire pack inside an hour of ideal conditions. A 7,200 W continuous inverter with 240 V split-phase support makes it genuine backup hardware. The omission that will catch people out is DC — there is no 12 V car socket on it at all, which is unusual at any size.

Choose this if
  • You are pairing it with a roof-scale array rather than folding panelsA 5,800 W solar ceiling on a 5,120 Wh pack means generation can outrun storage, which is the condition for true off-grid cycling.
  • You need 240 V at real powerSplit-phase output backed by 7,200 W continuous covers well pumps and dryer circuits rather than merely supporting the voltage.
  • You want long service from a large packA 4,000-cycle rating to 80 percent on 5,120 Wh implies more than a decade of daily cycling before meaningful degradation.
Skip this if

The honest limit: The 5,800 W solar ceiling is the reason to buy this and it is a genuinely large number, but it presumes an installation most buyers do not have. Reaching it takes roughly thirteen to fourteen residential panels, properly mounted and strung. Bought for portable use with a folding kit, the headline capability sits almost entirely unused.

What our data can’t tell you: No surge rating, no usable capacity, no wall-recharge time and no switchover figure are sourced here. For a 7,200 W inverter intended to drive 240 V household circuits, the absent surge ceiling is the significant one — it is the number that determines whether a well pump starts, which is a primary reason to want split-phase output at all.

How this score is computed

The BatteryRank score is computed from sourced data with a published formula — ranked by data, not lab testing. Seven sub-scores blend into a 0–100 composite, grouped into four buyer pillars. Price is deliberately not a scoring input: prices move daily, so value intelligence lives in the price section above, judged against this model's own history.

Scores are cohort-relative — each model is ranked against others in its size class. Missing inputs renormalize out rather than scoring zero (a model is never penalized for a spec nobody in its class publishes), and any figure resting on a documented estimate is tagged est. 07 · sourced answers

Quick answers

Each answer restates a sourced figure from elsewhere on this page — nothing new, nothing guessed.

How much does the Pecron F5000LFP weigh?
56.2 kg (123.9 lb), manufacturer-claimed, without accessories.
What are the dimensions of the Pecron F5000LFP?
551 × 381 × 333 mm (21.7 × 15 × 13.1 in), length × width × height, manufacturer-claimed.
How much capacity does the Pecron F5000LFP deliver through an AC outlet?
About 4,352 Wh of the rated 5,120 Wh reaches an AC outlet from a full charge — an estimate after our published 15% inverter-loss constant (marked est. on this page).
How many watts can the Pecron F5000LFP output?
7,200 W continuous AC output, manufacturer-claimed. Appliance startup demand must stay within the relevant limit.
How much solar input can the Pecron F5000LFP accept?
5,800 W maximum solar input, manufacturer-claimed. Actual harvest depends on panel compatibility, sun, orientation, temperature, and conversion losses.
What is the cycle-life rating of the Pecron F5000LFP?
4,000 cycles to 80% remaining capacity, manufacturer-claimed. A cycle rating is not a calendar-life guarantee.
How far can the Pecron F5000LFP expand?
Up to 35,840 Wh with compatible expansion hardware, manufacturer-claimed. The base-unit capacity and expansion-system capacity are shown separately.
